Lovely eclectic cottage located in a great spot. Conveniently close to the winery and restaurants as well as hiking at the nature reserve and perfect for watching beautiful Pelee Island sunsets. The big windows throughout the cottage provide almost every room with a stunning view of the lake. We really enjoyed our stay at Bongo House

The short story...

Our eclectic cottage is a great place to unwind and relax with family and friends. Our 1700 sq. ft waterfront cottage has an unobstructed western view to watch the spectacular sunset. When guests stay at Bongo House Pelee, they are on island time! You will not be missing the hustle and bustle of the mainland. There's no Wi-Fi, which is just the way we like it - our guests come to unplug!

The cottage has everything you need in the kitchen and BBQ with two large tables to gather. 4 bedrooms (2 rooms with 2 singles, 2 rooms with queen) and 1 full bath and 1 half bath. There is also an outdoor shower to cool off. 3 sitting areas to catch the view of the water. Outdoor fire pit with a large 1-acre yard and two hammocks. Guests like to sit on the screened porch and catch a nice breeze as they watch the sunset.
We also have 5 adult bikes and 1 youth bike for guests to use. There is a lawn games, soccer ball, volleyball, frisbee, youth baseball gloves and 2 badminton racquets to enjoy.

We are a 5-10-minute bike ride to the winery. Fish point nature reserve, an expensive beach is a few minutes down the road. Pelee offers the opportunity for bird watching, fishing, biking, hiking, butterfly sanctuary, lighthouse, marina, beaches, wine tasting at Pelee Island Winery, bakery and delicious restaurants. Visit www.pelee.org to see all of the attractions on Pelee.

To get to the island, you will need to book a ferry ride with Owen Sound Transportation Company, www.ontarioferries.com Space fills up quickly, so you will need to book early. The ferry ride is 90 mins from Kingsville or Leamington depending on the time of year.

Guests are responsible for bringing linens, personal belongings and a jug of water for the water dispenser should they choose not to drink the tap water.
